My Books
Inspired by her own experiences and having travelled and lived in different parts of the world, Abeer is the author of 3 books: “Sublime Arabia”, a travelogue about the profound culture of the unknown ten cities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Having worked in peacebuilding, humanitarian action and development, she is also the author of a non-fiction book titled “More Than A Truce How Nations Can Build Permanent Peace And A Sustainable Future”. As she prepares her trip to Antarctica, she is currently writing her third fiction story titled “Cold Heat” about climate action and the juxtaposition between time and distance.

The Sustainable Development Association (Talga)
Talga is amongst one of first licensed Saudi Non-Profit Organization (NPOs) officially registered in the Ministry of Human Resources & Social Development as (The Sustainable Development Association “Talga”) with a license number (1033) dated (1/2/1439H).
At the Asir region, located at the Southwest of Saudi Arabia, stands one of the oldest trees in the kingdom, a preferred meeting spot for the people of the village where beneath it, ideas and ambitions were discussed. The tree is called “Ficus vasta”, or as locals named it “Talga – التالقة”.
Deeply rooted in land, we are reminded that since the dawn of time, humans were always driven towards a thriving and sustainable future.
Talga aims to elevate the capabilities of the Saudi society to achieve s sustainable development with a specific focus on localizing the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals in the Kingdom. Talga operates by linking research to action as well as dialogue and outreach community driven programs.

Saudi 2 Antarctica
Selected for the Homeward Bound global leadership program, Abeer will be joining the largest female voyage to Antarctica in 2022 as the first female from Saudi and the second from the MENA region amongst 600+ alumni. Until then, she will run, cycle, swim, walk and horseback ride the distance of the width of Antarctica (5339km) in a year, braving the cold of Antarctica to raise awareness to champion climate action, well-being and sports at home within her community and internationally.
